Your personal right to information

The Board of Trustees of the Dolton Public Library District supports the Illinois Freedom of Information Act and will provide to any person the information requested within the provisions and guidelines of the law.

Requests

Requests for information are to be made to the Administrative Librarian during the regular working day of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Charges

$.10 per page when requestor copies the documents.  $.10 per page plus pro-rated professional staff costs for actual time spent copying, plus postage for mail requests.  Large charts, blueprints or other such documents will be charged at actual reproduction costs plus any staff time involved in the copying process.

Denial

If for any reason the request is denied, appeal must be made within two weeks of issuance of the denial to the President of the Dolton Public Library District Board of Trustees.
